Cotton mattresses have a rich history, and despite the myriad of options available today, our cotton mattresses remain a favorite due to their meticulous handcrafting. Many companies use scrap cotton and machinery to blow the cotton into futons or mattresses, which may initially feel comfortable but eventually develop air pockets, leading to an uneven and uncomfortable surface.
Simple crafts its cotton mattresses similarly to traditional methods in Asia, India, and Europe, layering cotton batting and wrapping it with a single layer of virgin wool before encasing it in 100% cotton twill. Our production process involves no machinery or scrap cotton, with each tufting meticulously done by hand!
Choose your cotton futon mattress from a range of sizes, including toddler to Cali-king or any custom size. These mattresses pair perfectly with slatted frames (with slats no more than 2.5" apart), platform frames, box springs, or tatami mats.
