Kapok Fiber Stuffing
- Kapok is great as a natural filling for pillows, cushions, dolls, zafus, poufs, mediation cushions, bean bags and so much more.
- It is often referred to as "silk cotton" or "vegan down" because not only is kapok lighter than cotton and soft to the touch, but it's also completely plant based!
- Kapok is the natural, vegan alternative to down and polyester providing support in a way synthetic materials cannot match!
➡️ Naturally organic, kapok fiber is one of the most sustainable crops, because the Ceiba pentandra, commonly known as kapok or silk-cotton tree grows naturally and needs no pesticides or irrigation.
➡️ The kapok is harvested from the seed pods that are dropped from the tree.
➡️ These trees grow in rainforest regions, meaning your purchase of kapok is helping to preserve the life of a tree as it does not need to be cut down to harvest kapok as well as encourage local economies in Indonesia and other tropical regions.
➡️ Almost no work is required to turn the raw material into bedding fiber: it's manually picked clean, spun, and sent to us!
Shipping: Shipping is always free within the contiguous US, if you are in PR, AK, HI or outside of the US, please contact me for shipping cost 💕
Care: Sorry, due to kapok being a natural, unprocessed fiber, we do not suggest washing or submerging it in water, it will ruin the consistency of the fiber :(. When working with kapok, we strongly recommend being in a well ventilated are and protecting your eyes as well as wearing a mask as the fibers are super silky and light!
